Master of Science – Industrial Engineering and Management

Program Summary

Program Description

In partnership with University of Dundee School of Science and Engineering and School of Business, students will develop skills, knowledge, and understanding of specialized industry focused engineering and fundamental management subjects.
On the engineering side, students will study a number of subjects, including advanced robotics, where they will look at multi-modal sensor integration and human-robot interactions, and advanced manufacturing, where they will investigate modern and smart manufacturing technologies.
On the management side, students will study a number of subjects, including project management processes, leadership and decision-making, giving students a key understanding of the roles and responsibilities of leadership.
Under the guidance of Dundee’s academic staff, students will undertake an industrial related project for at least 12 weeks, gaining practical experience and valuable contacts in the industry. Recent project examples have looked at optimization of material flow and enhancement of overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) in a manufacturing company, and proton therapy.
