Foundation Studies prepares students for a successful transition to degree level study, providing a pathway to the first year of study of a bachelor’s degree at Murdoch University.
This course is suited to those who:
- need an entrance qualification for Murdoch University
- want to accelerate their university preparation after Year 11, or equivalent
- want to change their degree stream after Year 11, or equivalent
On successful completion of this Foundation Studies program, students will gain entry to the first year of any undergraduate degree at Murdoch University, with the exception of Veterinary Science, Bachelor of Nursing and Bachelor of Education.
Bachelor of Food Science and Nutrition (B1389) (0101649)
This course prepares students for a career in many fields relating to the promotion of health at individual and community levels through the improvement of the food supply. They’ll study subjects such as the chemistry of food, human physiology, food analysis, food safety, food preparation, food product development, the impact of nutrition on human health, disease and sports performance, and the social and public health aspects of nutrition. Graduates of the Bachelor of Food Science and Nutrition may apply for membership with the Nutrition Society of Australia (NSA).
