Program Summary
The Denturist Technology diploma program is designed to provide students with the knowledge, skills and hands-on experience they will need to assess, design, fabricate and insert complete and partial dentures. NAIT’s 3-year Denturist Technology program includes 2 years of theoretical and technical training and 1 year of practicum placement in a clinical environment. Students will also have the opportunity to practice on state-of-the-art equipment in one of NAIT’s 9 dedicated treatment rooms in the NAIT Dental Clinic.
Hands-on, industry-relevant skills
On average students can expect to spend:
- 32 hours per week attending classes over the course of a semester
- 10 to 12 hours per week studying and completing class assignments
- additional time in the second and third years of the program for patient management and scheduling, which will increase while time required for study will decrease
