Recent discoveries and new technologies are revolutionizing the biological sciences, which require the increasingly thorough integration of knowledge at all levels of organization from molecules to ecosystems. Our programs provide both the development of intellectual tools and the practical experience our students need to pursue careers in fields as diverse as conservation and endangered species, land use management, ecotoxicology, health, or research in academia, industry or government. Training includes a rich blend of traditional classroom instruction, innovative activities in state-of-the-art laboratories, field courses around the world, and a robust research program in which students of all levels become involved. intensively and are well supervised.
The specialized baccalaureate program in biology allows the in-depth study of one or more biological disciplines. Students can focus on an area by choosing one of the following three options: cellular and molecular biology; physiology; ecology, evolution and behavior. This pathway includes a mandatory independent research component, designed to equip students with advanced research, analytical and communication skills, which they can apply to a variety of professions. They can also pursue varied fields of interest by choosing a general path that includes several advanced courses, and acquire work experience during their studies, thanks to the cooperative education program.
