Program Summary

The B.F.A. program in Studio Art will expose the student to many possibilities in the art-making process. The program has a concentration in animation and areas of specialization in painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, sculpture, ceramics, and video. These options provide access to a comprehensive program of study in art. Students can develop their conceptual and technical skills in a particular art discipline or decide to investigate a specific subject through the use of numerous media and “mixed” forms of art.
The concentration in animation is a blend between art and design, courses offered within the program explore a range of topics in motion, composition, acting, visual storytelling, 3D modeling, lighting, and concept design. Also, students can selectively combine the study of Animation and Digital Modeling with other disciplines within the department in order to fully explore their creative interests.
