This BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science course gives students the knowledge, skills and experience they need for a career as a Biomedical Scientist. Students will focus both on the research processes used to uncover the workings of human disease and the clinical practices used to make a definitive diagnosis.
They’ll use modern lab facilities and learn from HCPC-registered Biomedical Scientists and researchers whose work is shaping the expert view on conditions such as brain tumours.
After developing the foundational knowledge and skills students will apply throughout their studies and career in year 1, they can choose modules and projects that match their interests and ambitions in years 2 and 3.
Students can spend a year working in a lab or related setting on an optional sandwich year between years 2 and 3. They’ll also have opportunities to study abroad.
